CREDE aims to build capacity of all research staff to successfully participate in clinical and epidemiological research as well as industry standard clinical trials and to support individual career advancement.  We believe that the success of a study lies in the quality of its team members.

Our programmes are unique in that they are based in experience, packed with relevant and useful content, and presented in a fun and interactive way. Yes, even GCP can be fun!

Our GCP courses are accredited by the HPCSA and meet the national criteria for GCP courses in SA. CREDE is a registered service provider with the  South African Clinical Research Association (SACRA). The ICH E6 GCP Investigator Site Training meets the Minimum Criteria for ICH GCP Investigator Site Personnel Training identified by TransCelerate BioPharma Inc. as necessary to enable mutual recognition of GCP training among trial sponsors.  Our clients are research sites, all levels of research professionals including but not limited to Principal Investigators, Investigators, study coordinators, research nurses, pharmacists, lab staff, lay field staff and support staff.

CREDE’s programmes are facilitated and presented by its founder and owner Marijke Geldenhuys or knowledgeable and experienced research professionals and practitioners in the research field. The programmes are developed in collaboration with industry specialists, research professionals and academia.

Marijke’s bio

Marijke has been intimately involved with GCP and clinical research education for over 10 years. She has a masters degree in clinical research administration from the George Washington University (GWU), USA and an Honours degree in nursing.

She has wide experience in establishing site-based clinical training programmes as well as clinical quality control programmes. Marijke teaches clinical research as part of the faculty of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at GWU. Her experience is both at site level and at a programmatic level. She is a gifted facilitator with an ability to run interactive and informative training sessions. Her expertise lies in assessing the needs of her clients, developing appropriate material, facilitating in an interactive and interesting manner, and providing ongoing development support.

Her skills and knowledge have been applied and recognized nationally in South Africa, the rest of Africa, and internationally.
